Production and processing of tubes
Rytíř, Martin ; Harant, Martin (referee) ; Podaný, Kamil (advisor)
This thesis presents the analysis of individual methods used in the production of seamless and seam steel pipes. It is a literature review that describes the essence of individual approaches to production, their comparison and use in the domestic market. In particular, it describes seamless tubes produced by centrifugal casting and a forming method which further divides them into rolling, pressing and drawing, and seams, made of sheets and strips, which are formed into a tube shape and welded by an appropriate method falling under the category of fusion or pressure welding.
Manufacturing of tubes by rolling
Šimůnek, Petr ; Řiháček, Jan (referee) ; Podaný, Kamil (advisor)
Thesis is focused on the analysis of various rolling methods used for production of seamless tubes. It is a literary study, which describes both methods for the production hollow thick-walled cylindrical billets, as well as methods for their processing into finished tubes. Comparison between them and practical use is also described. In the thesis are analysed the methods of production of hollow semifinished products by push rolling and cross rolling, e.g. Mannesmann and Stiefel methods. For the seamless tubes finishing various rolling methods are described, such as pilger mill, mandrel mill, plug mill, Assel mill, Diescher mill or pushing mill.
Diagonal rolling technology
Popp, Dominik ; Benč, Marek (referee) ; Podaný, Kamil (advisor)
The aim of the thesis is research in the field of diagonal rolling technology. First, the heating of the material, which is an integral part of most forming processes, is described. In particular, the prevention of undesirable phenomena that can occur during heating is mentioned. Also mentioned are the heating furnaces, most commonly found in rolling mills. Then the methods used in the initial stage of seamless tube production are presented. In addition to a description of the individual principles, the deformation behaviour of the material is outlined. Subsequently, a description of the finishing operations required to roll the tubes to final dimensions is discussed. In the last section are introduce special forming benches, which can be used to form threads, ball blanks or even ball pins, used in the suspension of passenger car wheels.
